I have never been keen on beauty pageants. When I found out about the Miss Earth competition I was concerned that they were focusing on outer beauty instead of environmental passion and action. But I was wrong.

World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is a global event that takes place in more than 50 cities around the world and on Saturday, 10th March it will be Cape Town's turn to participate in the world's largest naked event!

In it they argued that the politics that dealt with acid rain and smog can't deal with global warming. Society has changed, and our politics have not kept up. Environmentalism must die, they concluded, so that something new can be born.
