International Youth Day is an opportunity to recognise the potential of youth, to celebrate their achievements, and plan for ways to better engage young people to consciously and successfully take action in the development of their societies. 2010 was International Year of Youth. Sustainability is defined as fulfilling our needs without jeopardising the needs of future generations. Sustainability is relevant to the environment, society and the economy. The commitment of the youth is essential to ensuring a sustainable existence for today and future generations. Commemorate International Youth Day by doing something positive for the environment! |
