Introduction to composting, types of composting (hot, cold, progressive) building different composting systems/sand/wood/plastic/rubber-tools of the trade- introduction to Bokashi, basic worm husbandry, introduction to maggots (soldier fly), compost accelerants, compost companion plants, compost teas-witches brews, 72 trace elements (Liebig Barrel law)

Introduction is on the Green Guerrilla farm (South peninsula between Fish Hoek & Kommetije) moving from station to station/(cleaning worms, making compost) learning by doing.

The entire concept of urban growing is the ability to stabilize what some call “waste” and we at the Green Guerrillas call auxiliary surplus organics-to make wholesome food we have to put twice the amount of food back in the soil-this energy source we piss away every day-some creative thinking, design that suits YOU (no right or wrong-guerrilla urban growing is not a purist approach-it’s a logical one.
