Cormac will be grappling with the topics of Sustainability - The Responsibility of Corporates and “Earth Jurisprudence”, as well as updating us on and providing his experience of attending Rio+20. Cormac is an environmental lawyer and governance consultant, and a founder director of the consultancy EnAct International and the specialist environmental law firm Cullinan and Associates Inc. He writes and teaches and is the author of Wild Law, a book which proposes that in order to prevent and reverse the environmental and social damage caused by industrial civilisations we must urgently develop ways of governing human behaviour that are consistent with the fundamental principles of our Universe (“Earth jurisprudence”). Cormac was listed among the world’s most extraordinary environmental champions in Planet Savers: 301 Extraordinary Environmentalists, which lists 301 people in history to be commended for their important role in saving and conserving the environment and promoting sustainable governance, including the likes of Buddha, St Francis of Assisi and Henry Thoreau.
