The next 10 Day Natural Building Workshop at Terra-Khaya runs from 9-19 November 2017; facilitated by Carrie ‘Cat” Pretorius from heARTh eARTh ART, and Shane Eades – Earth Guardian at Terra-Khaya: Earth Home Project.
“At Terra-Khaya we have built all our structures from natural and recycled material. In a pledge to honor the earth in what we do and create, we embarked on a creative adventure of experimental building.The result, A creative, comfortable, innovative lodge built from natural and salvaged materials, and passion.” – Shane
Participants will learn and practically explore a variety of natural building techniques using natural and salvaged recycled materials, with the following elements and practical applications presented on the course:
- Cobbing
- Wattle & Daub
- Adobe Bricks
- Cord Wood
- Rammed Earth
- Rocket Stoves
- Cob Pizza Ovens
Also enjoy morning yoga or meditation, sunset at Hogsback’s Secret Waterfall, and a visit to the Eco-Shrine!
