Environmental Educators Course

This course considers approaches to environmental teaching and learning, ideal for individuals engaging with others in the environmental sector and particularly relevant for teachers, trainers and environmental practitioners.
A wide variety of methods and approaches to environmental education are explored during the 5 day contact sessions, with a strong hands on focus and flexibility to incorporate a particular environmental issue or risk.
The course consists of the following unit standards:
- 13637 – Network broadly in order to source information and support around a key environmental issue or risk (4 credits)
- 13651 – Review a variety of approaches to learning, teaching and evaluation (4 credits)
- 13632 – Demonstrate knowledge of environmental education goals, principles and methods and their appropriateness in different contexts (4 credits)
It is well suited for aspirant environmental education practitioners and educators working in municipalities, the private sector or with communities aiming to equip others with improved environmental understanding and skills for sustainability.
Successful participants will be awarded an ETDP SETA Statement of Results after completing the three unit standards.

The course rate is inclusive of VAT, tuition fees, lunches, teas, learner, materials, training venue, field trips/activities, assessment, moderation, and verification. Course rates are exclusive of accommodation, breakfasts, dinners and transport to and from the venue.
