Green Drinks Cape Town
May 25, 2017 @ 17:30 - 20:30
After skipping last month’s Green Drinks due to the public holiday it is high time to meet up. Once again we will be having a `happy hour` from 5:30 - 6:30 for the eager early birds - a big thank you to Juwi South Africa for their kind sponsorship.
Green Drinks is open to anyone who has an interest / passion / concern for the environment and sustainability. We’d like to hear over a beer what you’re doing. Or what you think should be happening in Cape Town or in your area of work when it comes to sustainable development.
So, if you believe that progress is made easier by collaborating with each other, not working in silos; looking outwards, not inwards; and engaging and learning from people of diverse backgrounds and nationalities, then we look forward seeing you at the next Green Drinks!
If you have any brilliant ideas for us or you’re interested in helping to organise future events, please let us know. (Green Drinks is a collaborative, volunteer event.) And if your company has a green heart and would like to sponsor future Green Drinks happy hour please let us know. The best way is to speak to one of us at an event, otherwise email news@greendrinks.co.za.
Every month people who work in the sustainability field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks which are an incubator for ideas, connections, inspiration and support. Our goal is to help take sustainability from the fringe to the mainstream. We’ll organise the bar and the social environment. You just need to come (and bring people like you.)
Who should come?
People with an interest / passion / concern for the environment and sustainability. No matter what your profession. Green Drinks is about creating connections across a range of different sectors. Whether you work in business, science, education, design, the media, the arts, the law, government, NGO’s, IT, you name it. We’d like to hear over a beer what you’re doing. Or what you think should be happening in Cape Town or in your area of work when it comes to sustainable development.
Entry fee
Entry is free of charge but you will need to buy your own drinks (except during happy hour).
