Green Drinks Claremont

It’s a new year and we are shaking things up a little: we kick off the very first Green Drinks of 2017 in the Southern Suburbs, at the popular Tiger’s Milk in Claremont.
As it is that time of year we would like to hear from you what your own personal environmental/sustainability New Year’s Resolution is? Are you thinking of doing beach clean ups? Cycling to work? Cutting down on meat? Jot it down on a note (which we will provide) and stick it on the board at the event. Let’s see what everyone comes up with!
Once again we would like to keep with our `happy hour` tradition but for that we need a company with a green heart to sponsor a few bottles of wine. If your company is interested then please let us know asap. Every month people who work in the sustainability field meet up at informal sessions known as Green Drinks which are an incubator for ideas, connections, inspiration and support. Our goal is to help take sustainability from the fringe to the mainstream. We’ll organise the bar and the social environment. You just need to come (and bring people like you.)
Who should come?
People with an interest / passion / concern for the environment and sustainability. No matter what your profession. Green Drinks is about creating connections across a range of different sectors. Whether you work in business, science, education, design, the media, the arts, the law, government, NGO’s, IT, you name it. We’d like to hear over a beer what you’re doing. Or what you think should be happening in Cape Town or in your area of work when it comes to sustainable development.
Entry is free of charge but you will need to buy your own drinks (except during happy hour). We are trying to keep it fresh - so you will find us at different locations throughout the year.
- When? 5.30 - 8.30pm on the last Thursday of every month
- How? Walk, cycle, bus, Uber. Car OK if more than 2 passengers 😉
