Mandela Day Beach Cleanup

You are all invited to this noble environmental initiative!!

The Greenpeace Western Cape Volunteers will be partnering with the City Of Cape Town for a Beach Clean-up Campaign on Mandela Day as part of its Environmental Awareness Programme.

The aim of the beach clean-up is to encourage the community, learners and other stakeholders in the Sea Point beachfront promenade to take responsibility for their surroundings and environment. It strives to change behavior and alter the mindsets of the community and encourage partnership in such programmes.

Educational talks will be conducted and there will be an opportunity to sign up as Greenpeace Volunteers. Drinks and snacks will be provided followed by a social.

  • Venue: Sea Point Pavilion Swimming Pool

Transport will be provided from Cape Town Station to Sea Point and back.
