Trees in liveable cities talk
February 22, 2018 @ 15:30 - 18:00
Melbourne, Australia, was named the world’s most liveable city once again last year. Image: ABC News
Bridging Waters talks are about linking with whomever and whatever we as a collective deem interesting and relevant to making our living spaces a better place to live (through the water lens, but everything is affected by water so that’s fine), in an informal, comfortable conversation.
For this first talk Clare Burgess, involved in the Resilient Landscaping Forum, and Henk Egberink from Treekeepers will be joining us.
We would like one or two more diverse views for the conversation, perhaps officials who have to deal with trees being troublesome? What is the bigger picture? What are the complications?
Please get in touch to suggest people, or give advice/critique, recommendations on topics or to sponsor snacks. Even if you can’t make it but have points to share, please send them through for inclusion in the write-up.
Time: 15:30 to 18:00
Place: New Engineering Building, Upper Campus UCT.
RSVP: futurewater@uct.ac.za
