This year’s Green Faire will take place on Saturday November 2nd 2013.
A wide range of green products and services will be on offer, as well as a great line up of informative talks, new innovations and inventions.
Explore ways to make your home and lives more healthy, happy and sustainable. Get stuck in to some natural building techniques and tuck in to a selection of delicious healthy food options.
Last year’s event hosted over 70 stalls and was 100% powered by solar and wind power.
A feature of the Green Faire is the PLANET WARRIORS FESTIVAL, in an effort to inspire kids to be green. Interested children from all primary schools in Hout Bay partake in a Recycle Market and Eco-Fashion Show followed by a fun musical Talent Contest where budding musicians unleash their talents to the broader community.
The Green Faire provides a much needed platform to showcase the growing number of products and services available to conserve resources and alleviate the need for unhealthy food, chemicals, pollution, or unnecessary waste. It offers a wide range of riveting information on current and topical issues that concern us all and most of all it empowers children to be Planet Warriors – Leaders of Change.
The Hout Bay Green Faire has a fantastic community atmosphere, loads of entertainment for kids, rivetting talks, interesting people to talk to about products and services we’ve been thinking about, great food and good vibes. A great place to meet friends and green minded people. I’ll be coming to this Faire every year.“ Jayne Fairchild, Rondebosch, 2011
