We have a two year old who loves to draw. She draws every day and can spend ages on one of her masterpieces. She draws circles, hearts, triangles, dogs, cats and people. Of course all of these look like spirals and scribbled lines to me but who am I to judge.
I once went to a modern art gallery in Madrid and saw a 2metre x 2metre grey painting on sale for €9,000. It was just a canvas painted grey, nothing else. If that is what sells in Madrid, it is only a matter of time before my daughter is world famous.
A few months ago, she decided to expand her scope and took to drawing on everything else other than the colouring books and recycled paper we have eagerly provided. Almost all of these lessor known ‘canvases’ for her art are in fact more commonly known as our dining room table, the kitchen counter, my office desk and my exercise ball.
How to clean creative art off various surfaces
It is hard to stay angry with her, especially as she mentions that her latest work of art is actually “a picture of you, Daddy”. The one benefit is that I have found out just how versatile the Better Earth Cleaning Spray is as most of these works of art have since been wiped clean (after a picture has been taken of them for possible future earnings). Although I have to admit my exercise ball is still covered in a pen work of art that besides my best attempts stubbornly remains there for all to admire and in all likely hood will forever more.
In the past, I would have used more common cleaning liquids to clean these abstract art pieces but I decided to try the Better Earth Cleaning Spray instead. When I used it for the first time, I was very impressed with the smell and actually surprised by how effective it was and even more impressed by how gentle it was on my hands.
I found that when I used our old handy multi-purpose cleaner, my hands would be very dry afterwards and I would have to wash them after use and most times moisturize straight after cleaning up. With Better Earth Cleaning Spray, I could use it and then just carry on living my life without the need to find my wife’s hand moisturizer.
Multipurpose is cool
I decided to put the BE Cleaning Spray to the test on other surfaces and have since found that besides counter tops, it is very effective at cleaning windows, glass tables and even the oven door. I now use it to clean practically any surface, including tables, counters and stove tops. I have taken it out of the house and now use it to clean our car interior and my wife’s yoga mat. Full disclosure: “my wife’s yoga mat” is actually my yoga mat.
I mentioned all the surfaces I was cleaning with it to my sister and she told me she also uses it to clean her canvases, which hang on her wall. This was great news as they do get dusty and grimy and it was a relief to know we could clean our pictures and paintings without damaging them.
The best part of the BE Cleaning Spray according to my Mom is the lavender smell. She loves lavender and I think sometimes finds excuses to use the cleaning spray on her counter tops just so that her kitchen smells like her favourite scent.
I must admit the smell is pleasing on the nose and it really does make our kitchen, living room and car smell fantastic. Another pleasing advantage is the knowledge that when you rinse the cloth, you can actually do it outside and the grey water is perfectly safe for the environment.
Rather not for the parrot…
We once had a customer who was so impressed with the BE Cleaning Spray he said he was using it to clean everything in his house and then asked us if we recommended using it on his parrot. Yes, his parrot. Now, while we do advocate using the BE Cleaning Spray on almost every surface, we really do not recommend you use it to clean your parrot… or in fact any of your pets. Rather stick to your vet endorsed cleaning products, natural if possible.
Peace of mind when it comes to household cleaning products is very important to me and my family and I am always reluctant to use conventional cleaning products that are full of harmful chemicals. We all now prefer to use all natural cleaning products and of course use the full Better Earth cleaning range.
The key is to encourage people to change their mind set as a lot of people simply assume the natural cleaning sprays do not work as well as the cleaning brands they know. The more people try them the more they can use safer, more eco-friendly products in their homes.
